I have always managed developer teams using VS Source Safe and such, but the infrastructure has always been pre-existing to my arrival so very little for me to do. The devs would also just get on with their work, so as manager had very little involvement with setting it up or maintaining it.
I am now in a position where I would like to get the TTN code under source control so that customizations and upgrades can be managed efficiently to prevent any downtime due to old bugs popping back up.
I am thinking along the lines of using Bitbucket as the project can be managed there for free, which is good and it has a rather granular code management system.
