Asarah B'Tevet
*Prayer and Dedication
December 14*

Chronicles 7:14
If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

I urge you to prayerfully consider your Fasting and Dedication in prayer to pray for your family and all the people of your country.

Set your objective of prayer.
Make your commitment.
Prepare yourself spiritually and write down the names of people who you would like to bring to His Throne of Mercy. Being specific.
Prepare yourself physically.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
"May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your Holy Places." For the sake of Zion, I will say, "Peace be within you." For the sake of the house of YHVH our Elohim, I will seek your prosperity.

A guideline: Prepare yourself for spiritual renewal, protection, for guidance, for healing, for the resolution of problems, for special grace, guidance to handle difficult situations, for the salvation and Redemption or specific for the Kingdom to come.

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you with objectives for your prayer and fast. This will enable you to pray more specifically and strategically.

Begin your day in praise and worship.

Read and meditate on YHVH’s Word, preferably using your knees.

Pray for His vision for your life and empowerment to do His will.

Invite the Holy Spirit to work in you to will and to do His good pleasure according to Philippians 2:13.

On the 10th day of the Hebrew month of Tevet, in the year 3336 from Creation (425 BCE), the armies of the Babylonian emperor Nebuchadnezzar laid siege to Jerusalem.

YHVH patiently delayed the destruction to give the Israelites another chance to repent.

He repeatedly sent Jeremiah the prophet to sincerely forewarned His nation, but they foolishly imprisoned him.

30 months later, on Tamuz 92 the very date the walls would be breached when the Second Temple was destroyed, 3338, the city walls were breached, and on 9 Av of that year the Holy Temple was destroyed and the Israelites were exiled.

We view this as the beginning of a chain of events that culminated with the destruction of the Temple and the subsequent exiles, something that we have never fully recovered from, because even when the Second Temple was finally built, it never returned to its full glory.

We use this time to pray for our Messiah to come. For the Kingdom of YHVH to be established and His reign.

When the Kingdom comes, it will exert its full power toward and will remove the present wicked systems.

We give thanks to YHVH for giving us this coming day, to come before Him in sincere and reverent prayer.

Be blessed and stay blessed ?
