Acquire no gold or silver or copper for your belts, no bag for your journey, or two tunics or sandals or a staff, for the laborer deserves his food.
Matthew 10:9-10

"For the laborer deserves his food" at first glance seems to contradict Yeshua's instructions not to ask for pay for miracles, but this isn't talking about exchanging miracles or teaching for money. The wages #yeshua means are those owed by the Master for whom they labor. A shepherd isn't paid by the sheep, but by the owner of the flocks. Of course, in practical terms those wages usually come through the sheep.
