One of the subjects that could be included in the recent comic about drawing lines in the sand. These are the three most common that I have run into. In my church days, I was a Trinitarian. I still remember Mike Warnke's analogy of a piece of cherry pie to explain it. Nowadays, I do not hold strongly onto one over another. I will say I lean more toward ONENESS than the other two, but not in the way most other people do.

God is our Creator. He can obviously do what He sees fit. If He wants to be only one entity that has many forms to interact with us, so be it. If He doesn't interact with us directly due to how Holy He is and we are in a fallen state so He has an intermediary to speak with us, so be it. If He wants to be three distinct beings that are all part of the same entity, so be it. In other words, I don't believe there is a box we can fit Him into.

Outside of these three forms mentioned here, we have accounts of God appearing as an angel (or group of angels) heading to Sodom & Gomorrah, a man to be wrestled with, and a burning bush. These forms aren't usually included in any of the "Who is God" discussions. You also have the mention in Revelation of the Seven Spirits of God.

All this to say, there is a lot of info about God in the Bible and while on the surface it may seem to contradict, I think it may just be a limit to our understanding of a Limitless Being.
