If we aren't willing to give up everything and pick up our cross to follow Him in full obedience, then why did our Savior suffer and die? The Father is not looking for wishy-washy, lukewarm looky-loos who want to keep some compartment of their life for themselves. We must surrender every piece of ourselves. If you think the Father approves of your sin because you have some measure of worldy success or comfort, then you don't know the Bible. You may seem blessed, but if you're walking in sin, it's sin, and those so-called blessings are no excuse to stay in the sin. And for the rest of us who think we are shiny and cleaned up, but snub our noses at others, He sees our pride and He hates it. Now is the time to get rid of the sin and pride and extend to others the grace He has given us. The cross was not an excuse to sin or think too highly of ourselves and our works. Most of us, including myself, fall into both of these groups from time to time. Passover is right around the corner. We must clean up our hearts, get rid of the leaven, and get ready with our oil to watch. He's a good, good Father who called you by His name because you are precious and bought with a price. Therefore, glorify Him in all you do. Show the world we are His disciples by the way we love one another. All in or all out. Choose.
