If someone claims that a list of verses support his controversial ideology, shouldn't you at least look them up yourself before promoting it as Gospel Truth?

Would you clarify please? I'm unsure which way you mean the question: you believe the list was made by a liar, or you agree with the list and wonder why the person claiming it's a liar didn't look them up first?
