At the end of the American Revolution, anti-English feeling ran so high that a story circulated about a plan to replace English with Hebrew.

I love this story, it makes me think about how things could have been very different. Perhaps the Most High forbid the US from adopting the Hebrew language as a sign that some day Hebrew would become the language of the land of Judah and Samaria, that the US is a temporary dwelling place for His people. Someday, in the Reign of God, we will all speak a restored Hebrew language, as Yah sees fit!
