It is unusual as most interfaces do not offer the mixing capabilities this on does. For a DAW, I am using "Cakewalk" by Bandlab. Cakewalk is free and can be downloaded here: https://www.cakewalk.com/ "Bandlab", as mentioned in the article you posted, is also a free online collaborating software that will probably be loaded when you download cakewalk. Regarding Cakewalk: I've tried ProTools Live, Able
ton Lite, Reaper and maybe a couple others. I've found Cakwalk to be the most intuitive of them all. There are also a ton of people using it and you'll find many youtube channels devoted to teaching it... and you'll need them. DAWs are extremely robust digital recording studios. So that's about it for now. Any questions on what I've mentioned I will be happy to answer.
