On my latest tour of the local hardware stores, I discovered that Home Depot now requires you to have an app on your phone to get the military discount. Lowe's just wants your phone number. I understand the need for verification and tracking to minimize fraud, but an app on your phone is too intrusive. Since HD rarely has what I need anyway...
