Does anyone have a way or contacts for minting coins?

My concern with the current system is that the amount of material in the coin doesn't determine the purchase price; e.g. a 1/10oz would be pro-rata more expensive than a 1/4oz or 1oz coin. This for me is "using false scales".

I therefore would like to see if it is possible to start a coin where the weight of material determines the price. I am thinking about a coin series for the Torah community along the lines of 1/10oz, 1/4oz and 1/5oz gold and silver coins...

@JC_Caissien has experience in this area as well as contacts. I do think a minor premium difference is unavoidable, at least on initial acquisition, due to manufacturing / minting costs. Takes similar labor to make one 1/10 oz as one 1 oz... therefore 10 1/10th will initially cost more than a single 1 oz...

From what I see, the premium charge for precious metal is for the one distributing it to make money. The banker has to make money as well and this is one way they can. When they sell coins in precious metals, they charge a premium to make money. same as marking up a product. Now if you are talking about money changing, you charge a rate above the worth of the coin so as to make money on it. I am open to the idea and conversation on this as I would love to move towards the use of lawful or tangible moneys. Especially in this day when people are going to using cryptite.

Then I am up for the chop, or I need to ask Father to also keep TTN small and under the radar.

We are warned in Revelations that we will be persecuted for His Name. We have been forewarned. I know that everyone hopes/prays/yearns to be saved from what is coming, but as I see it Revelations is already history. We are just moving through our window of time...

Also, the problem in life is that if we do not stand for something then we fall for everything...

On a side note, now that Putin as ended the petrodollar, things are going to change quickly!!!

Goldbacks have a similar deal where there denominations are X/1000. So a 1 would be 1/1000 Troy oz of gold.

Of course, their premium is a little high (you could probably buy 2000 oz worth of gold for around $4000.


But minting rounds and such costs money too.

I contacted Sunshine Mint earlier this month. They told me they are more than a year behind and are not taking any new projects.

I use North American Mint. They do a great job.

If you minted the fractions in major bulk, you could get the costs down a little, but you won’t ever get a 1/10 oz rounds at the cost 1/10 the price of a 1 oz

As for minting, there is a drop hammer mint I visited at the Renaissance Festival who said they do custom jobs. Ive been thinking about having some shekel-weight coins minted. The premium in this case will come from labor and from having the Die cut.
