Genesis 10;9—10, “He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; so it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.” His kingdom began in Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.” These 2 verses seem fairly simple but look more closely. Nimrod stood in opposition to and defiant of the Creator. His kingdom begins in Babylon, but where does the kingdom of Nimrod end? Revelation 18;1—2, “After this I saw another angel descending from heaven with great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his glory. And he cried out in a mighty voice: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a lair for demons and a haunt for every unclean spirit, every unclean bird, and every detestable beast.” Babylon was a place named after a group of people who followed Nimrod in his rejection of our Creator. This movement and concept remains in the world today. Disguised by many names like secular, evolutionist, atheist, and more. Anyone who rejects our Creator is part of Nimrod’s Babylon, but it will come crashing down.
