Psalm 42;11, “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.” Disappointment can leave us feeling downcast, disoriented and even depressed, but we have hope. Our Creator will never disappoint us, He is faithful and just. Exodus 34;7 reminds us — “maintaining loving devotion to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin. Yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished; He will visit the iniquity of the fathers on their children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.” While other people or situations may disappoint our Creator will never leave us with a feeling that comes from being disappointed.
