You shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it. You shall not interpret omens or tell fortunes.
Leviticus 19:26

This verse connects eating blood to divination. There are profound spiritual reasons God said "do this and don't do that". Our lack of understanding of his reasons is irrelevant.

Consider the hard words of our Savior that caused so many to walk away when He said we must “drink” His blood. Pagans would drink the blood of sacrifices as if feeding upon that god….to join with that god spiritually. We can only feed upon the genuine divinity. His is the only source of true spiritual life!

Wow, this just reminded me of Abel's blood calling out to Father. If the life is in the blood then I can see drinking blood being connected to soothsaying...

I wonder what eating "blood pudding" causes. ?
