Paul writes in Galatians 5 about the fruit of the spirit. What he writes as fruit is actually a result of a positive interaction with the Spirit of our Creator. When the resulting emotion is love, peace or any of the positive emotions we feel, then we can know that the one experiencing that emotion has a positive encounter. The opposite is also true, when the emotion is sadness, hate , turmoil or any negative emotion we know there has been either a negative encounter with the Spirit of our Creator — or — they have had an encounter with an unholy spirit. Sometimes when our Creator chastises us we reflect that as a negative emotion, usually anger. When we encounter people who claim to be “religious” but have a negative attitude, they reflect the emotion of the spirit they encounter. Psalm 5:11, “But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.” May every encounter we have with the Spirit of our Creator be positive!
