Another Torah keeper today chastised me for praying for the Afghani Believers. My spirit and what I know of YHVH tells me that it is altogether right to pray for them. Am praying not just for physical safety, but that their faith will sustain them and they have an opportunity to grow spiritually. Thoughts?

I think it's always good to pray for sinners that their eyes will be opened to sin, repentance, judgement, truth, salvation. That Yah will turn their hearts to Him. And for Him to protect His chosen people in that area.

I don't understand how someone could get upset about praying for a fellow brother and sister. Even praying for the non-believers so that Father would reveal Himself to them during these times must be part of our mission.

What does that say about loving our neighbour if we won't even keep them in our prayers?

Did they give any Scripture to backup their beliefs?

People are mean. Torah keeping or not. Some of the meanest people I've come in contact with online claim Torah. Just ignore them and follow in the Messiah's footsteps.

I, too, prayed for Afghani beliwvers and missionaries today. Allegedly, 200+ missionaries will be put to death tomorrow... ? May Yah strengthen them and their families!

Thank you for all the responses. I pray everyone has a great and blessed Shabbat. I watched Sheep Among Wolves last night....a great documentary by Joel Richardson and Dalton Thomas. They do not share some of our beliefs, but that film is excellent and brought tears to my eyes. When real persecution comes to our country, will we be as strong in our faith. I pray so! Jeremiah 12:5  If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?<><>Shalom
