Deuteronomy 33:15, “And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,” Translations can be misleading, The word ancient used in this verse would cause one to think that because Moses considered the mountains ancient, the world must be very old. The context of this verse doesn’t elude to the world being very old, it simply says that the best things the mountains have to offer. Moses knew how old the earth was when he wrote this. 2,000 years may seem like a long time to him but today we are another 4,000 (+/-) years from Moses time and that feels like a long time. We should not allow our feelings or bad translation to guide our lives. we should rely on the word of our Creator the way He gave it.
