Many people are familiar with Matthew 7;1, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” But how does that fit with Leviticus 19;15,“‘Be fair in your judging. You must not show special favor to poor people or great people. You must be fair when you judge your neighbor. “ The complete thought in the beginning of Matthew 7 is simply a different way of expressing the Leviticus passage — “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” If you wish to be treated fairly, treat others fairly.
