James says repeatedly that true faith in Yeshua is much more than merely believing in God. It's much more than simply affirming the truth of certain biblical doctrines. After all, "even the demons believe—and shudder!" (James 2:19) If we want to have an authentic, living faith, something more than mere intellectual belief is required. We must follow through with what our faith in Yeshua requires and be doers of the word (James 1:22).
