I am exploring the possibility that the Trinity doctrine might be false and perhaps Unitarianism might be true. Biblical Unitarianism believes that Yah the Father is God. Yeshua is the Son of God, but still a human being, and that the Holy Sprit is either another name for Yah the father or his power (depending on the context). Again, I am still exploring this and have not yet made a final decision. What do the rest of you say?

Brother, you know where I am! I'd avoid the term Unitarian, though, because that's associated with Yeshua not existing before He was born. Since He said He existed before He was born, I have no idea how folks get to that conclusion.

John 1:1-18 and Colossians 1:14 make it very clear that Yahushua was the first of creation. Made from Yahuwah's own substance, being that he is "only begotten son" of Yah. The light that was created in Gensis 1:3 was not the Sun...as the planets were not made until day 4 of creation. Yahushua says "I am the light of the world". He also says, "If you've seen me, you've seen the father." Not because they are the same...but because he is a carbon copy. Just like the relationship between husband and wife, Moses and Aaron....Yahuwah and Yahushua are Echad = One....not the same person. Scripture is very clear that Yahushua emptied himself of his "former glory" to be born as a man.

Yahushua has always been the groom of Israel = His Bride. There was a covenant made between him and Israel. When Israel fornicated with other gods and broke that covenant, the marriage was broken. Yahushua could not take back his bride to wife per the Law of the husband. Once you have put away your wife, you cannot take her back. When Yahushua came to be born as a man and die for our sins...he had more than one purpose
. The husband had to die in order for the wife to legally remarry. Yahshua had to die in order to make a new covenant with his bride and marry her.

The Trinity is biblical, but Theology Proper is a deep subject that requires extensive study, so most people don’t understand it and many get themselves into trouble. This is also a salvation issue, so my general advice to people is: (1) take a neutral position if unsure, (2) improve your Bible study skills as needed, (3) seek good sources of information, and (4) study patiently. I’ve researched this topic in depth, so I can suggest some resources and provide limited mentoring for those who may be interested.

One of the problems I have with the Trinity doctrine is that you are expected to believe it at face value. Anyone or any group that doesn't believe in the Trinity is judged to be not truly Christian and is part of a "cult". I also don't believe it was explicitly taught by the early believers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one of the things I like about the Torah in Yeshua community is that you are free to believe or not believe in the Trinity and still be considered a follower of Yeshua.

I now believe that the trinity is false. One of the reasons why is because the holy spirit doesn't have a name of his own.
