Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Matthew 19:28

"Judging the twelve tribes" probably doesn't refer merely to "passing judgment", but to assuming leadership similar to that of the Judges in ancient Israel. Since the twelve disciples weren't from twelve different tribes, it also probably doesn't mean one disciple to one tribe, but all twelve disciples collectively over all twelve tribes, united.

This also requires that all twelve tribes will still exist at least in the Millennial Era and possibly in the New Earth after the final judgment.
