Now that we've covered all the possible Names and things we can call God, let's talk about the more important issue: His Character. As I point out in the comic, we have this connotation in English as well. His Name isn't just about the sound that comes out of our mouths, but that actions we take on a daily basis. We are His representatives when we say we are His followers. What we do reflects on Him. It puts "Do not take My Name in vain" to a whole other level.

Again, this same thing is true in our modern lives. We pre-judge people by their affiliations and what those affiliates' actions are. Talk to a non-believer who has had a bad experience with a church, and they will tell you how all Christians are. Are all Christians that way? No, but to them, the name of Christianity has been tarnished. Which then leads to the Name of God being tarnished. If these people that say they are following God are the reason for the bad experience, based off of whatever happened, then it must be because of them following that God.

Deuteronomy 4:5-8 even tells us that people should be looking to us and seeing our actions and want what we have. Want to follow the God that we follow. We should be aware of our actions at all times and know we are representing Him. As the saying goes: actions speak louder than words.
