Psalm 81, as partially quoted by joe pena above, is about Passover. The night of the Passover is to fall on the full moon. If you wait to see the sliver moon to declare a new moon, your feast will not land on the full moon, but after it.

i hear ya sister... all you can do is your best. we will all know the correct way when He returns. im glad you are diligent. I see it as the scripture says the LIGHT is the sign not the calculated darkness. a conjunction would be the darkness that divides the day. bible says light divides not moon or darkness. where does light come from... not the moon.. but the sun that the moon reflects... conjunction has no reflection from the sun and no light to divide. Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Your light/dark arguement sounds dangerously close to why people celebrate xmas/saturnalia in the darkest part of the year. I dont worship the heavenly bodies. Everything was created good, even the darkness. Without the darkness, we do not know the new day. Are new days evil? No! They are renewal and the beginning of rest. It is superstitious to call the darkness evil. Lucifers name means bringer of light. He was the most brilliant (light) angel. I have never been aware of seeing an angel, but i have been attacked by demons in broad daylight. They knew i was close to learning the Name 'Yahuah and tried to kill me before i could be redeemed. They almost won. Scripture points to the conjunction, so that is what i will observe. I pray you will be blessed as you continue to search and test the Word. Shalom!

I am not sure why you would write this unless you were insinuating that I am applying Kabballah Symbolism and adding to scripture.

Do you really not know that the whole animal sacrifice system was put into place after sin... this sacrifice system was NOT part of creation and was not meant for anything other than a symbol/placeholder until the Husband could come and dissolve the divorce.

Do you not believe Israel was divorced? I am having a hard time understanding and I really tried to understand from your writtings what your perspective is.

The Word and history were how Yah answered my prayers for understanding. I only took the action of following His prompting. Please do not think I take any credit for coming to this understanding. I do not ascribe symbolism to the Word except where the Word says it is symbolic and then follows with an explanation of the symbolism. I am not a prophet, so I do not have the gift of expressing or recieving symbolism from Yah outside of exactly what His Word says. I was not insinuating you practice kaballah. However, many do, and that is where a lot of misunderstanding and adding to the Word come from. I was merely trying to say your evidence does not convince me of a sliver moon being the new moon and to conclude this discussion politely.
