Yeshua said that nobody knows the precise day and hour of his return, and I believe this also means we can't know the year or even the decade very far in advance. We should be able to tell that the time is getting closer by observing the events in the world around us, but I think that's as precise as we can get. However, the real point of Yeshua's warning to be ready for his return is to be ready "in season and out". Make disciples of other men today and be a better disciple yourself every day.

So my thinking is, when Yeshua said that He didn't know the day nor the hour, He actually didn't. BUT He was old later on by Father before John's vision.
Yes, certains parts of the vision are sealed till the end, but not everything. I am also thinking that if we are warned to stay vigilant and not be caught by surprise like a thief in the night then we should be able to recognize even the day as it comes closer.
It is the same as Adam's fall.
1. At creation he was going to have an extended life without knowing sin.
2. He listened to Eve and ate of the fruit.
3. He then knew what sin was and died within 1000 years.
The breakdown of both the scenarios are:
1. An initial true statement, as at that point in time.
2. An event took place which changed the circumstances.
3. Then the initial statement became false as new facts came in place.
1. Yeshua didn't know.
2. He went to heaven and Father revealed the end to Him
3. He then did know and told the angel.
Is there merrit in my thinking?
