A woman and the crown prince hid in the Temple for six years! This was the only place in the kingdom that even Athaliah feared to go. Her reign was tenuous. If she violated the sanctuary of the Temple, she might have faced a general rebellion. Tyrants should always be terrified to interfere in God's affairs.
