What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith; but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law.
Romans 9:30-31

Many elevate the Law of God above the Lawgiver as if the Law itself could grant citizenship. The Torah is an obstacle to true righteousness for them. Direction becomes misdirection. Torah must never become the object of our lives. It's a tool and only a tool.
