Although the actual word victim is not used in the original language of the Old Testament (despite some translations) the description is someone who had sin committed against them. Able was a victim of murder Genesis 4:8, “Then Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let us go out to the field.” And while they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.” We should notice that the emphasis is not on Able the “victim” but on the sinner and the sin.
