This passage of the bible keeps coming to me.

Ecclesiastes 9:14-18. Life saving wisdom is despised if the one with the knowledge is poor. Gotta get a tv show and expensive clothes and stuff to get people to listen.

I think the reason people are that way is they figure why should they listen to someone who isnt worldly successful because that their only goal. Yeshua had nothing, but He had everything at the same time. People knew He was a carpemters son and had nothing. Thats why they were amazed with His intelligence and authoritative manner of speaking. His parents hadnt had the money to afford an education for Him, yet He outwitted the pharisees everytime.
