I struggle with wanting to join or even be a martyr for the people. I've thought about doing things to try to save my country, but I know it won't work. In the 1970's Canada had a group of people with some brave goals who went to parliament and held some tyrants hostage and even shot one of them. The Canadian government shot every single one of them and called them separatists and that was the end of that. In the war of 1812 when America invaded Canada while Britain was over fighting Nepolian, the farmers were armed and defeated the attacking forces and even pushed them back across the border in MMM by which time the British won and were headed home to fight the rest of the war here. The British surrounded the last of the troops on a single island and America destroyed the last of their ships in the water surrounding the island in a last ditch effort to save their lives and the last piece of land they had. For some reason the British backed off and made America build weapons on Canadian soil facing America. There's a treaty about it here in Canada. It was an act of mercy because a siege was absolutely possible and North America would have become Canada. In the 1960's the Charter of Rights and Freedoms was enacted and the right to bear arms was erased. So history could have been far different had a few changes been made. I doubt we'd have lost the right to bear arms with Americans being Canadian. Like the gun buy back program which the government cancelled on account of the citizens mass buying the guns on their list. My family is from England. We fought against our own country and refused to pay taxes and we lost and were exiled to Britain now known as Canada before the war of 1812 I believe. I am itching to stand up like that, but Yahuah says no, so I don't. I'm in exile and that's that. Doesn't mean I have to choose to follow their laws over Yahuah's.
