So here's a question for you guys: How hard was it for you to give up Christmas?

Personally, not difficult at all. But I'm weird: don't care for scheduled gift-giving and hate the clean-up after a huge meal. Lol
I gave up as much as possible of it in high school and then moreso as I was able to move out and not be expected to visit family.

Easy. It was just me & my toddler. We didnt really have contact with other family. I discovered the truth about xmas a couple days after our last celebration. I was appalled and ashamed. I cleaned as much pagan symbolism out of the house as I could find, including my dinnerware.

It was easy as the "cheer" of Christmas became a kind of depression over the years where the day after Christmas became a downer. We realised that something was missing as it was just a ritual for us.

This was actually part of what got us on the road to Torah... Christmas and the fact that we worked 7 days a week, got burned out and tried to figure out which day of the week we should take as our day of rest. Well, the entire "ball of religion" started to become undone at that point. 😊

It was relatively easy for is to. We stop celebrating it approximately 13 years ago.
But what's make it difficult is my hole family still celebrate it, including my parents.
And the bigger part of the family is strong xmas celebrators. (except for my one nice) and we are a relative close family.

We are in a environment where xmas is a big deal, home and work.
