These are some of the goings on at the prison I volunteer at:
Here is an update from Joey at Boyd Unit:

-Thirty (30) SKF Passover order forms should be going out in the mail
this morning (1-5-2024). Three or four apps were written on notebook
paper. These do not include any "Davidians" or Jewish service. Rafael
Sanchez has five (5) going out from his assembly. Adam Demers, our one
of our drummers, sent in his separately. -We await word from Pastor
Robinson on if he requested the Jan 20 baptism event. We have 13 on our
immersion list, our set-up team should be finalized this weekend...
-James Tackett will be practicing his Messianic song as soon as the
official date is announced. We hope ALL of our volunteers can be in
attendance to watch the immersion service. (off-the-record: SKF, Chayah
and Pastor Robinson may want to request media release forms/permission
for photos ---- just an idea in light of some of our recent events and
class graduations having been approved for photos) -I'm applying for the
Boyd Unit Reporter job for The ECHO newspaper! Yahshua is really opening
the doors to be able to share the good news about the unit. All of this
came about because I was receptive to going to the gentiles! Had I just
been content with only our Messianic community, most of the places I've
been able to attend at Boyd would have never been thinkable. -Sign-ups
are currently taking place for new Hebrew 1 and Greek 1 classes. Anyone
in Tikkun Yeshiva who desires to teach really ought to take Hebrew 1.
-Special request from Todd, Buck, myself and lead guitarist to discuss
music/band/feasts-festivals-events after Hebrew class on Shabbat w/you
guys briefly?!?! -We want to celebrate Purim in February and if
possible, assemble for that event. Even if we dont have food or drink,
we'd like to see if we could assemble with a volunteer or volunteers
(Feb 26 or Feb 27?) and invite these guys: (chaplain said this was the
volunteers decision to make) -----7 Praise Team members -----9 Sound
Team members You guys have asked for the most dedicated members and
there is no question that our band and sound team are our most dedicated
members! But this is a volunteer decision. -If I get the unit reporter
job, I may email my articles to Tikkun Yeshiva so that way we can be
assured of it being shared/read. The ECHO is notoriously long in
publishing Boyd news. The upside is all of our ministries have social
media pages. Photos from events have been published and shared on social
media already. I've got 11 years worth of good news to share :) Even if
I dont get the job, I'm still going to write, interview, report on the
good news and positive aspects of prison life here. (which is where I
will depend on volunteers/ministries to assist by sharing this good
news) -Juan G. still asks when several films/teachings can be shown (not
donated! shown! lol) He is going to be teaching w/me from now on and
plans are underway to get Roy a few teaching slots as well. -Stay in
touch, and Tikkun Yeshiva, if possible, follow ALL the Boyd Unit groups
and TIFA and TIMSA, Texas Inmate Mail Support Advocates, and TCPA, Texas
Community Prison Advocates, pleeeeeeaaasseeee. -SKF: we need the April
Passover date early. April is lockdown month, Kairos Walk, and Real Vida
TV! We do not want to get jilted out of Passover Thank you guys!
