To me it is similar to mushrooms, a mushroom doesn't have a seed which I can pick up with my hand. Its seed is a fine dust.
The fact that scientists want to put it in a different class than plants is their choice. I know what Genesis says and there were only plants and trees created, fungus wasn't created on another day so it is a plant:
Genesis 1:11-13:
"And God said, 'Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.' And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day."
Well, unless someone teach me other wise... 😌

Hi Jaime,
The size of the scales doesn't matter, as long as they are there. The determining factor of whether the scales are acceptable or not is if they can be removed without tearing the skin.
I hope this helps.
