For those who do not interact with others who have differing viewpoints from your own: how do you expect to grow in the Word and love others as Yeshua loves you? It is great exercise for the mind and spirit to discuss differing viewpoints on the same subject. It may change your viewpoint, or it may strengthen your original conviction. Either way, a good midrash is healthy for you.

It is therefore a self protecting action not to get involved.
A discussion shouldn't be an argument as a person's brains stop learning once a discussion becomes heated. Each person will then dig their heels in and not be open minded to learn.
A discussion is multiple people raising their points of view trying to figure out the common ground and learning from others' perspectives. It doesn't mean that we have to change our point of view, but at least speak up and listen to what others say... 😊
