The Curtain over the Holy of Holies was supported by FOUR GOLD-plated WOODEN pillars set in SILVER sockets. The only way to the Ark of the Covenant, where God's presence would descend to commune with Moses, was through this curtain.

Silver = Blood, atonement
Wood = Mortal living flesh
Gold = Perfect righteousness
