Fifty loops and fifty gold clasps attached each of the Tabernacle's outer curtains to each other and the whole was finished with fifty bronze clasps.

Fifty represents the critical mass of righteous men and of years required to establish a lasting community and to enact lasting change in the world. It is the number of liberation and restoration.

Fifty is also the number of the basic military and prophetic companies in Scripture, the number of years in the Jubilee, and the number of days between Passover and Shavuot.
