I mean, if we are not to judge one another, how can we as parents judge our children's decisions, no matter how gross they are.
The context of what Yeshua is saying is not "don't judge", but as I point out in the comic: judge rightly. Don't just judge hastily. We can't find false teachers if we aren't judging their fruit as He tells us to do just a few verses later.
Then you have the whole section of rulers over Israel that were called the "judges". We even have a book named after them. Imagine if they had the understanding that they weren't supposed to judge anything?

This then builds on where we are actually instructed to judge the sins of one another within the fellowship...
