All the earth...
This phrase is used rather often in the Bible. I noticed it for the first time in Gen. 41:57 this morning.
"And all countries came to #egypt to Joseph to buy #grain, because the #famine was severe over all earth."
This reminded me of #noah's flood that also covered all the #earth. So, how severe was this drought? Was it over all the earth or just localized?
I then wonder, if it was only localized then what do we make of all the other Scripture that talks about all the earth like:
1. Noah's flood
2. Yeshua saying that the Gospel needs to be spread to all the earth before His return.
3. Paul saying that the Gospel has been spread across #alltheearth...
4. The reign of the Anti-christ.
What is your understanding in this? Should we use the same interpretation in all these instances or are some merely speaking figuratively?
