My thinking is, if it is for every reader then Father hasn't had much delight in many, many generations of believers.
What is the hope then that my life is a delight for Father as I will only know that He delights in me if/when I am permanently placed in Israel? I have hope for one day, but...
Hesekiah often comes to mind when thinking about hope, faith and selfish prayers. Father gave him his dying prayer and it was a curse to the nation after he died when his son took over. The Nation might have been better off with Hesekiah not having descendants and dying as Father would then have placed someone else into kingship.
