A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools.
Proverbs 26:3 ESV

Rather than rewarding fools to placate them, as in v1, make them feel the pain of their poor choices. Rewarding bad behavior only gets you more of it.

Totally agree. I had two Jehovah's Witnesses here yesterday and they were talking about Yeshua "loving everyone"... I then pointed out that if we love someone then we correct them.

So me loving my neighbour doesn't mean that I ignore their sins, but rebuke them and show them their error.
