I intend to vote for a man in my country that has great charisma. Lots of people love him. Many don't.
But he is known and loved, and respected world wide, by most countries. But, I keep having this feeling, what if this candidate is the actual Anti Christ. How will I know one way or the other. The adversary is the great deceiver. I would not want to go against Yah, and vote for someone who is working for the Adversary. It is mentioned in the Word of Yah, that the Anti Christ will fool the world.
Even Yashua was Tempted, and other prominent bible persons. So we are not safe from deception.

What can we do to guard ourselves from this possible act of deception? Politics in it's self, has lots of chances for deception to their constituents.

You ask good questions. I have had similar thoughts. Ultimately I think it comes down to we make the best choice we can with the information in front of us. If not him, then who? Call to be a good steward of the country into which Yah had me born. At this point, to not vote for this person would be definitely signing the death now to my country. I don't think we're going to know at this point who all is who. It is not for us to know yet. We do the best we can. We trust Yah for the outcome. I do know this person has been been protected multiple times from attempts on his life. We will see.

The main question should really be: why do we support systems not mentioned in Torah? I yet have to find the word 'democracy' anywhere in Scripture. Unless Torah is not the foundation of the constitution and followed to the letter, no government is worth anything.

I can understand your concern about a person being an anti-Christ, but they have been alive in all of history. Most of the secular and spiritual rulers in the Bible were anti-Christ. If you are concerned that the person might be the Beast then it would take some investigation on whether he actually fits the description we have of the Beast.

A shot in the ear, as example, is not a deadly wound.

I am always aware that my interpretation of Scripture is heavily influenced by the country and time that I live in. I would be seeing a #Chinese leader as the Beast if I lived in China with the #starvation and oppression going on there. If I lived in a #Muslim country then the religious leader would be my best bet.

The influence that the #USA has had financially over the past 50 years is not significant as many other countries had bigger influenced in the world than the USA has and reigned for significantly longer. My ancestors fled from the Netherlands because of the religious oppression 300 years ago.

So, could our interpretation of Scripture then be influenced by our point in time?

How many people since Yeshua's ascension have expected His imminent return? Just look at the 1800's alone... Just think what the believers thought during Hitler's reign. We are so disconnected from the larger picture that we only want to believe that Yeshua is returning in our life-time.

But, what if???

What if it doesn't happen and the next leader of a country is just another leader and as corrupt as the previous ones? Why do we expect any different from our future leaders than our past ones?

Then also, if we expect to be living in the end-times then we should pray that Father will lead, protect and guide us during this time, rather than praying to keep the #Beast from being unveiled. That has to take place for Yeshua's reign to come.
