For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Romans 10:4 ESV

Did Paul really write that Christ is the termination (i.e. cancelation, death, annulment, etc.) of the Law? Only if James also wrote that compassion is the termination of God.

Telos can mean termination, but it can also mean fulfillment, culmination, climax, purpose, or aim. In Luke 22:37, this word is clearly used concerning Scripture in the sense of “central point” or “fulfillment”. In 1 Thessalonians 2:16, it means “culmination” or “fullest extent”.

The End of the Law - American Torah

Romans 10:4 says "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." Does this mean that Jesus canceled the Law for believers?
