Has any god ever taken for himself a nation from within a nation—by trials, signs and wonders, war, a mighty hand and outstretched arm, and great terrors—like all that YHWH your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

God allows trials in order to make you stronger or to transform you into something new, but trials aren't always fire and brimstone. Sometimes they come in the form of apathy or distance. Use these relatively easy trials today so that you and your community will be prepared for the bigger trials to come.
