Names are transliterated rather than being translated. In the United States my name is Steven. But in Hebrew it's Katriel. Only words are translated. However, in the occurrence of a king his name remains the same no matter what country he goes to. The name of Messiah was and still is Yeshua. The name Jesus was created less than 500 years ago by man.

Yes. Exactly. And when transliteration takes place it’s supposed to be from one language directly into another. But never from the second language into a third. Yet too often that’s what happens. That’s how Steven can become Katriel or Yeshua can become Jesus. A number of other languages have to be involved and the transliterated word further transliterated again and again till it’s nothing like the original and bears no meaning usually.
