Shalom, @everyone.
This week’s lesson, the third in our series on Shemirath Halashon (Guarding the Tongue), is called “Hypocrites!” and is based upon Matthew 15. We chose it because this passage is so often misunderstood, and because it so clearly exemplifies so many of the laws prohibiting the terrible and widespread practice of Lashon Hara (Evil Speech).
If you think you understand this passage of scripture and Yehoshua’s reasons for saying the things he did in it, this lesson may surprise you. We hope you will join us today on YouTube to learn and participate in the discussion, then further refine your own speech, becoming even more like our Messiah and his disciples - “set-apart” to YHWH and glorifying Him in all you say and do.
If you have missed the previous two lessons, one an overview of Shemirath Halashon and the other an exposition on the 31 commands of Torah law governing it, that’s okay. The lesson will still be understandable and of great benefit to you. However, if you wish to truly and fully understand this vital teaching for those of our faith, you can view the previous lessons on Sabbath Keepers Fellowship’s YouTube channel.
We will begin at 4pm CDT and hope to see you all there.
YHWH im’ka! YHWH be with you!
