The mountains Gerizim and Ebal are two witnesses of the sin or obedience of Israel. Remember what Yeshua said: "If men won't speak, the very stones will cry out."

Why was the altar in Deuteronomy 27 built on Mt Ebal (the curses) instead of Mt Gerizim (the blessings)? (It might not be why you think.) Is the Law of God a curse? Then why did David use so much ink expressing his love for it?

In Deuteronomy 27-28, God told Israel to build a monument on Mt. Ebal and carve on it the words of the Law. Then he told half of them to stand there and pronounce curses for disobedience. The other half were to stand on Mt. Gerizim and pronounce bles
