Not everyone is familiar with wha is called the “Days of Awe” this ten days from the feast of trumpets to Yom Kippur (the day of atonement) have become a useful tradition. and as much as I don’t promote traditions, this period of time suggests that we stop focusing on ourselves and focus on our relationship with our Creator and with the people around us. It is a time when we reflect on how we may have interacted with them and if we have offended them in some way, it is a time to seek forgiveness and to repent… which is something we probably should be doing throughout the year anyway.
