So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.

As Isaiah 29 clearly shows, the blindness of the Jews was always intended to be temporary. God did not blind Israel so as to destroy them as a people, but so that a rebellious generation could be driven to repentance. Part of that plan (pre-destination) is to bring the truth and blessing of Messiah Yeshua to the Gentiles, so that the native-born Israelites will want to take back what was always supposed to be theirs.
