What is your opinion on the extra Biblical books? Some of my friends in Yeshua accept these books while others don't. My current opinion is that these extra books should not be counted as Scripture, but it may have interesting historical information. I do not yet currently own them yet.

I have no problem reading them, think they can at times provide good information. Always check everything against the Torah, and maybe against the prophets.
Put another way, I'd read them before a book from Piper or such *shrug*

I believe יהוה was in control when the Canon was made. Every external book should be checked against what really is scripture.

The extracanocal books that qualify as OT don't add to or take away from Torah. There is one book I would qualify as a fan-fic because it makes the sons of Jacob superhuman, describing them scaling walls with their bare hands. But, there are some modern people who can scale walls bare handed. We call it parcore. Enoch, I believe, was true pre-flood, but whatever natural event Yah used to cause the flood, changed our planet's motions around the sun, and the motions of the moon. When you get into all the sub canocal "gospels" I don't think they are legit. They distract from and gossip about Yeshua. One was made specifically to back the lie of the royal line.

In short, the extra canocal books are interesting, but don't change scripture. The extra "gospels" do try to change scripture, and don't even agree with each other.

The Ethiopian Bible has the extra books in it. It is 800 years older than the King James Version.
