Mainstream Christianity is the only religion that claims that the teachings have been abolished and that you don't have to follow them. For example, in Islam, if a person wants to be the best Muslim they can be, they would study the teachings, the life of Mohammad, and follow those teachings as best they can. If a person wants to be the best Buddhist they can be, they would study the Buddhist teachings, learn about the life of the Buddha, and follow those teachings as best they can. But if a person wants to follow Yeshua, the answer is to not follow what Yeshua taught? Strange!
