the idol's food

i just feel moved to talk around this.
so we know not to eat food once we're told it's been offered to an idol. now that's totally about the food. and, it's never about the food!
been reading this post of about 34 weeks ago, and there was talk of saturday, and it being named after saturn, and that being wrong.
correct, but there's no problem in saying saturday, it's just a concept to determine a day, until someone says that this is in honour of saturn. now that's the moment to respond, i'm afraid i can't go along with that, i now cannot say it is saturday to you anymore, you have given it another concept. if you wish, you can have a go at explaining why to that person.
in the same way, and this is why i'm writing this post, i look at the term Jesus Christ. it's the anglification of Yeshua the Messiah, which is also a 'translation'. when i say Jesus, i mean the Son in all His glory, exactly that, and only that.
when an xtian uses it, one with bad intent, he's abusing the name to gain control of you(r worldview). and, sensing this, you recoil at this.
it's that (group of) xtian(s), that what they intend by (ab)using the name, that you're recoiling from, not the name.
so to them, you say, now i cannot say JC to you anymore.
and then there's the flipside, talking to someone to who the name JC itself has now become 'bad'. now i must attempt to refrain from hurting that person. thankfully, in this instance i can also attempt to correct the misunderstanding.
it is respectful to pronounce a name correctly. especially so if we're talking about the Father or the Son, but we don't really know the correct pronunciation.
when a name has power, if you can understand that concept, you don't want apprentice mickey mouse to utter the broom into action. we're all still apprentices to that effect. so what a surprise that YHWH has no vowels. if the ancients knew how to pronounce it, and out of fear and respect didn't, when they passed on the pronunciation, wouldn't they maybe have deliberately MIS-pronounced it? to make sure it didn't get used erroneously?
just saying.
also, have you noticed how many versions of the names roll by on this site alone? i blink.
it's never about the food. look at the intention, now tailor your response.
to th(os)e one(s) who suffer(ed for years) over this, that hurt moved me to broach this subject.
