Everyone will be judged for his own sins regardless of rank, wealth, or accomplishments (Isaiah 24:2), however the consequences of our sins go far beyond ourselves. For example, sin causes the land to be cursed and unproductive (Isaiah 24:5-6).

Consequences aren't always obvious, but are still real. Many things that we often call "victimless crimes" aren't victimless at all. Of course, many things that we often call "crimes" aren't crimes at all either.
